Wilton Re Supports Habitat for Humanity
July 28, 2011

Chris Stroup, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Wilton Re, was among many Wilton Re employees who were on hand July 28, 2011 to help build a new Habitat for Humanity home in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

“We were so pleased and grateful to have volunteers from Wilton Re help us construct [local family’s] home. We rely on support from volunteer groups to build homes as cost effectively as possible,” said Bruce Berzin, Co-President for Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County. “Wilton Re’s help brings us closer to having [local family’s] home ready for [them] by the end of the year. This home is one of 12 that Habitat CFC will complete this year in Bridgeport, Stamford and Stratford thanks to the financial and volunteer support of corporations like Wilton Re as well as faith community, civic groups and individual supporters.”

Wilton Re volunteers worked alongside current and future Habitat homeowners and other volunteers in what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. However, the weather did not prevent the Wilton Re team from having a productive, engaging and rewarding day to help make a difference in the life of a local family.
